Indication
What is this medicine used for?
Hirudoid® Forte Cream is an anti-thrombotic and anti-inflammatory preparation for percutaneous treatment of inflammation of the veins such as superficial thrombophlebitis, varicose veins and swelling.
Dosing
How much and how often should you use this medicine?
Hirudoid® Forte Cream is for EXTERNAL USE ONLY. DO NOT SWALLOW.
Always use Hirudoid® Forte Cream according to the instruction of this package insert. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
If not otherwise directed, the product should be applied to the affected area 2–3 times daily. Depending on the size of the area to be treated, a length of 3–5 cm of cream is usually sufficient. If necessary, it may be used more frequently.
Treatment with Hirudoid® Forte Cream should be continued until the symptoms subsided. The usual treatment period is about 1–4 weeks.
In the case of very painful inflammation, distribute Hirudoid® Forte Cream carefully on the affected area and cover it with a dressing. In these cases, the cream should not be rubbed or massaged into the skin.
Avoid contact with the eyes or the mucous membranes.
Contraindications
When should you not use this medicine?
Do not use the medicine if you are or suspect to be allergic (hypersensitive) to the ingredients of the medicine.
